We currently have the following opportunities available for well-qualified applicants to start in August 2021 at the beginning of the new school year.
1. JOB TITLE: MYP COORDINATOR & TEACHER
We are seeking an MYP Coordinator who will also be able to offer one of the other subjects or responsibilities listed below. MYP experience is needed for this position.
2. JOB TITLE: MATHEMATICS WITH CHEMISTRY
A secondary teacher able to offer both subjects up to diploma level. IB Diploma teaching experience is preferred.
3. JOB TITLE: MATHEMATICS WITH BUSINESS MANAGEMENT
A secondary teacher able to offer both subjects up to diploma level. IB Diploma teaching experience is preferred.
4. JOB TITLE: MATHEMATICS WITH ANOTHER SUBJECT
We are seeking two diploma mathematics teachers who can also offer an additional secondary subject from the following: Environmental Systems & Societies (DP) French (MYP) English as an Additional Language . IB teaching experience would be an advantage.
5. JOB TITLE: ENGLISH AND DRAMA
A secondary teacher able to offer both English and Drama/Theatre up to diploma level. IB Diploma teaching experience is preferred.
6. JOB TITLE: ENGLISH AS AN ADDITIONAL LANGUAGE
A secondary teacher able to offer both EAL and first language English teaching.
7. JOB TITLE: UNIVERSITY COUNSELLOR
In addition to fulfilling the role of university and college counsellor, a candidate for this position will also be expected to teach a secondary subject.
8. JOB TITLE: SOCIAL & EMOTIONAL COUNSELLOR
In addition to fulfilling the role of a counsellor, a candidate for this position will also be expected to teach a secondary subject.
9. JOB TITLE: SPORTS & ACTIVITIES COORDINATOR
This position also includes the role of a residential parent who will live in a boarding house and be responsible for caring for a number of residential students.
GENERAL CONDITIONS:
● Any applications for either Moshi or Arusha Campus should include a full CV/résumé and the names and addresses (including e-mail addresses) of two professional referees. It is important to include details of any family members who may accompany you; we are unlikely to offer employment to a spouse unless as part of a teaching couple and local employment opportunities are extremely limited.
● Current Tanzanian regulations mean that we are only able to consider teachers under fifty five years of age who have a minimum of three years’ teaching experience.
● As a minimum requirement, all applicants for teaching positions must have a first degree and a teaching qualification that entitles them to teach in their home country. International teaching experience is also desired.
● All teachers of diploma level subjects are required to have a minimum of three years’ teaching experience at a similar level, such as IB Diploma, AP, or Advanced Level experience. For many teaching positions, experience of teaching IB PYP, MYP or Diploma (as appropriate) will be a significant advantage, but is not specifically required.
